Fathers, Spend Quality Time With Your Children

As a father, no matter if you are from a traditional family set-up, a stay-at-home dad, a step dad, or anything else, you need to spend time with your children. This is the best way to keep bonds with your children and it shows them that you love them. Your time is better than any gift you could give them. There are many ways that one can spend time with your children, and here are a few examples.

A great way to enjoy nature and each other’s company is to go outside and have a picnic. It is fun for kids to spend a spring or summer day with their father and eat delicious food while being one with nature. You can play games together, and there are no distractions like cellular phones, televisions, or the like.

Bedtime stories have always been fun for children, and they still are. These are great ways to create memories with your child, and it will improve their skills in imagination and inferring. You can learn how to become a good storyteller and they will have fun listening to you, and sometimes you can even create a circle story together.

During the summer vacation, kids love to get out and travel to places they don’t normally go. This is a great opportunity to go out and take a vacation. Find out where they want to go and what activities you can do there together. Amusement parks and the like are great fun for children, and just because it’s designed for young ones doesn’t mean that you can not join the rides with your children and have fun with them.

You can travel to different places by going on a road trip. Although some people don’t like road trips, they are great ways to spend time with your family if you handle the situation well. Make sure to pack healthy snacks to eat along the way, and you can play games while on the road.

On weekends and days when you are free, you can spend the evening with your children. Go out to eat or go through the mall. Or you can just stay home and play family games. Anything works as long as it is just the family for that night. You can even make this a weekly event and call it “family night”. A lot of families benefit from this, and it lets children realize the importance of a strong family bond.

Children who go to school are always swamped with homework, and this leaves them with less time to spend with you. You can turn this con into a pro though, by helping them with their homework. Not only will they love you for helping them, but you can also spend time with them and understand how they work and learn in school.

With these activities, you will be able to build a healthy and close father-child relationship. It is important to let your children know that you care for them and that you will be there for them, and spending time with them is the best way.

Fathers Rights Laws in California

Fathers’ rights in California should be discussed with a knowledgeable and experienced family law attorney. This is the best way to understand laws pertaining to child support, custody and visitation following a divorce or in the event that a child is born out of wedlock. Each state may have different laws governing these issues, so obtaining information regarding laws specifically from the state of California is important to residents of the state.

Unlike unwed mothers or fathers who have a child out of wedlock have virtually no rights to custody, child support or visitation unless a court order is obtained from a court.  A mother who has a child out of wedlock is under no obligation to prove that she is the mother of the child provided that hospital records and the birth certificate indicate as such.

Men who want to prove that they are the father of a child must file a petition with the court. An order must also be filed if the father wants to obtain custody, visitation rights or wants to collect child support. Before a man is given any rights as a father, it must be proven that he is the child’s father.

A man may be deemed the father of a child under varying circumstances. The father may acknowledge that he is the father or a DNA test may be conducted to determine if he is in fact the child’s father. If the mother does not agree that a certain man is the father of the child, the man claiming to be the child’s father may request a DNA test. The mother may also request a DNA test.

In determining custody, visitation rights and child support, the Court may take several factors into consideration. For instance, when determining child support payments, the Court may consider how much time the father spends with the child. In doing so, the Court may only consider court orders pertaining to visitation or custody.

It is important that fathers in California obtain court orders and other documents proving that they are the child’s father to protect their rights. These will not only grant them certain rights, but will also be a basis for protecting those rights if the mother denies them the opportunity to see their child.

In cases in which the father is not paying child support, varying steps may be taken to force payment. If this is the case, California fathers are encouraged to discuss their rights and the legal proceedings with an experienced attorney.

WARNING Don’t Take Antioxidants

WARNING Don’t Take Antioxidants

Did You Know…

…that taking high doses of antioxidant supplements — such as beta carotene, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) and selenium — does not reduce the risk of acquiring diseases, but has also been shown to be poisonous to the human body and may even increase the risk of death?

As long ago as the 1950s, antioxidants became known as miracle supplements because they “reportedly” promoted good health and prevented a host of diseases, including cancer

and age-related diseases.  According to some estimates, approximately 50% of the adult population in the U.S. take antioxidants on a daily basis for this reason.

Here’s a wake-up call:  Every long-term study involving antioxidant supplementation provides proof that people get sicker — not healthier — when they take antioxidants.  In fact,

beta carotene, vitamin A, and vitamin E, taken individually or in combination with other antioxidant supplements, are associated with increased all-cause mortality. [Source:  The

Journal of the American Medical Association - based on 68 randomized trials with 232,606 participants (385 publications).]

In case you were wondering … this information is not just another propaganda employed by the medical and pharmaceutical industries to prevent people from using natural

therapies, or to deceive people into thinking that drugs are the only solution to disease.

Over the last several decades, supplement manufacturers (and even health practitioners) have urged people to take large amounts of antioxidants such as Vitamin C and Vitamin

E because scientists had observed that people whose diets were rich in fruits and vegetables had a lower incidence of heart disease, diabetes, dementia, stroke and certain types of

cancer.  They formed the hypothesis that since fruits and vegetables are a rich source of antioxidants (which neutralize free radicals in the body), then taking antioxidant

supplements would have the same effect.

That hypothesis has been proven wrong.  Here’s why:    http://scrnch.me/82ya4

Fruits and vegetables produce antioxidants for good reason — that is, to protect themselves from oxidative stress.  Without antioxidants, oxygen destroys food by combining with

elements and burning them up — hence, vitamin destruction in food (or decay) occurs.

However, dietary antioxidants have virtually no nutritional benefit to the human body.  Antioxidants such as ascorbic acid and tocopherols, for instance, are not essential nutrients

– and as such, they should not even be called vitamins at all.

While antioxidants serve their purpose WITHIN a fruit or vegetable, in the human body, they only disrupt normal oxidative reactions in the cell.  This is why they are dangerous

to consume (except in the minute amounts ingested from food).

In summary, if you want to stave off disease and premature aging, there is no substitute to eating fruits and vegetables that are rich in antioxidants instead of taking antioxidant

supplements.     http://scrnch.me/82ya4

The Law of the Levirate Marriage in Bible versus Quran

In the Bible, the Lord God urges the Levirate Marriage that is the marriage by a man with his brother’s widow if the dead brother was childless.

The Law of the Levirate Marriage is not mentioned therein in the entire Quran.

——————————

The Law of the Levirate Marriage in the Bible

In the Bible, Deuteronomy 25:5-10, if you were a brother, your brother died without producing an offspring; the Biblical law in such case is that the widow, your sister in law should be your wife. However,

What if she does not seem good to you?
What if you do not like her?
What if she is malicious?
What if you do not have the money to support her?
What if you are already happily married?
How come that your son does not carry your name?

Then, if you persist in saying; I do not want to marry her; in this case, you got spit in the face and called the family of the Unsandaled!

The term, “The family of the Unsandaled” is a shameful term.

The Law of Levirate Marriage in the Quran

The Law of the Levirate Marriage is not mentioned therein in the entire Quran.

In addition, Verse 33: 5 says: Name them to their true fathers. That is more equitable, that is more just, better, more correct and fairer in the sight of Allah in relation to lineage. The son should carry his true father’s name.

==================================

The Bible, Deuteronomy 25:5-10 (King James Version)

5) If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.

6) And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.

7) And if the man like not to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband’s brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband’s brother.

8) Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;

9) Then shall his brother’s wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother’s house.

10) And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe loosed.

==================================

The Quran, verse 33:5,

Verse 33: 5

QARIB: name them after their fathers; that is more just with Allah…

SHAKIR: assert their relationship to their fathers; this is more equitable with Allah…

PICKTHAL: proclaim their real parentage. That will be more equitable in the sight of Allah…

YUSUFALI: call them by (the names of) their fathers: that is juster in the sight of Allah…

Back to my question to the smart and interested reader:

Are the Scholars truthful when they claim that the Quran quoted from the Bible?

If you’ve ever been served with a phony order from an ex, you’ll know how hard it is to know where to begin fighting a restraining order. But there are several things I want to say to those fathers who can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

It is a lesson often forgot, and it is: You need to be fighting a restraining order for yourself AND your kids.

You think that sounds obvious? I’m always surprised at the number of guys who think they’re only dealing with a phony order for their children’s sake. They forget some of the other elements that should be the driving force behind their crusade.

First of all: in most states, the order becomes part of your criminal history. When someone does a background check on you, it’s flagged up as part of the results. The implications don’t seem too bad, until you remember the following points.

… It Can Cost You Your Job

Basically, if you attend any interviews whilst fighting a restraining order, any background checks will reveal this black mark on your record – and they won’t know the details of why it’s a phony allegation. It’s highly likely that employers will be put off by finding this against your name, and there is the very real possibility that you won’t get offered positions you’d have otherwise been hired for.

… It Affects Future Travel

The order is also flagged as a warning to customs officials. Imagine having to explain and defend yourself yet again on a business trip. I know from personal experience that I got searched much more often at airports during the three years I was under a restraining order – I fly every couple of weeks, and when the order was removed from my record, those extra checks stopped immediately.

Think about the amount of time and frustration you may have to go through when extra baggage checks are needed, and searches of your person are conducted – all because of that phony restraining order.

… Your Second Amendment Rights Are Withdrawn

One of the restrictions of an order filing is that your firearms (and/or access to any) is withdrawn when the filing is served to you. This will therefore alert the checker whenever you get a firearms license check in future, to stop you obtaining a new weapon during the period it is effective in.

… Many Mistakes Happen

There have been many cases where an expiration date hasn’t been entered into the restraining order log, or isn’t removed with all agencies, and even if you win a custody battle you may still have the task of fighting a restraining order record. You need to get it rescinded as soon as possible.

Conclusions

There are more implications than you realise at first when your ex files an order against you. Just remember that you need to be fighting a restraining order not just for your kids as part of a custody battle.
